Online Registration Troubleshooting Tips

A successful registration will bring you to a confirmation page and will also result in the receipt of a confirmation email. If your registration is NOT successful, typically there are 2 types of errors. Please investigate BOTH types.

Errors in Entering Your Information Into the Registration Form

  • If you hit “Next Step” and are not sent to a new page, scroll up and down the page on which you just entered your information on and look for red Xs (instead of blue checkmarks), which will show you what the form needs in order to proceed.
  • Make sure that the address you enter on the form matches the billing statement address for your credit card exactly.
  • Make sure that your hotel arrival and departure dates are formatted correctly.
  • Make sure that you have filled in every required field, including checking off the “Read Terms and Conditions” box.

Errors Caused By Internet Glitches

These transactions occur over the Internet and small connection glitches can interrupt your registration attempt. This can result in being taken to a page that doesn’t seem to make sense in the process or not getting through to a confirmation page.

To solve these problems, you must clear your cache and try registering again. (Don’t worry if you don’t know what “cache” means – it’s just a place where pages are stored so you don’t have to redownload them every time.) If clearing your cache seems too daunting a task, you can close down your browser and try registering again or even reboot your computer and try again.

To clear your browser’s cache, follow these instructions (specific to your browser) :

Firefox:
On the toolbar, click on Tools
Then on Options
Click on the Network Tab
About halfway down the page under “Offline Web Content and User Data” there is a line that says “Your application cache is currently using __ bytes of disk space” Next to that there is a Clear Now button. Click that button to clear your cache.

Microsoft Internet Explorer:
On the upper right hand side, click on the tools icon.
Click on Internet Options
Click on the General tab
Under Browsing history it says “Delete temporary files, history, cookies, saved passwords and web form information.”
Click the Delete button

Google Chrome:
On the upper right hand side, click on the customize and control Google Chrome icon,
Click on History,
Click on Clear browsing data

Safari:
In the Safari menu bar, click the Safari option.
Select the Preferences link.
In the Preferences window, click the Advanced tab.
At the bottom of the window, select the Show Develop menu in menu bar checkbox.
Return to the Safari menu bar and click the Develop option.
Select the Empty Caches link.
